How to Measure Your Pants or Shorts:

Find pants that fit you well
Choose work pants or shorts you already own that fit exactly how you like them.

Button up and lay them flat
Fasten all buttons/zippers and lay your pants flat on a surface, smoothing out any wrinkles.

Measure the waist
Measure straight across the top of the waistband from one side to the other, then double this number for your waist measurement.

Measure the inseam (optional)
For pants, measure from the crotch seam down to the bottom of the leg hem to find your inseam length.
